It’s a New Year, and the start of a new decade, and we have lots of exciting new wedding trends to inspire your big day!

This is a year of change, when we see sustainability becoming as important as great design, couples embracing the natural world with botanicals, and artistic flair takes centre stage with custom illustrations.

At the end of 2019 Pantone also released its colour of the year, with a Classic Blue—a familiar, calming shade of azure, which we feature in our new Confetti collection.

Here’s our take on what’s going to be big for 2020…

One of the biggest wedding trends for 2020 is illustrated wedding stationery. This style not only gives you a very personal touch, but also gives you control over exactly how this will come to life on paper.

One of the best ways you can set the tone for your big day is with your wedding invites, and the theme can then be carried right through to on the day stationery, such as table plans and name cards.

If you’re budget won’t stretch to bespoke, don’t worry – we have plenty of cute illustrated deigns, like our Hearts and Lanterns Collection.

The beautiful world of interiors overspills to weddings this year, with marble and geometric metallics predicted to be a very popular look.

This style keeps it chic and stylish, and allows you to choose your favourite metallic finish for the foil printing, but we confess we love the rose gold!

Our obsession with the natural world and botanicals creates a beautiful look for both your wedding décor and stationery.

You can choose to either keep to a more muted pallet or, like the new Instagram obsession with dried flowers, go for more punchy colours with bright pinks or even the new Pantone colour of 2020 – Azure Blue!

Artistic styling allows you to get super creative and embrace rich textures and details.

There are lots of ways to bring a more artistic flavour to your wedding stationery, from paint detailing such as Watercolour as seen on our Sweetheart collection, to adding foiling detail on a strong colour base, as seen on our Confetti collection.

Sustainability is the hot topic of 2020, and something that we all need to consider in our daily lives. If this is a top priority for you, we can source planet-friendly recycled paper and finishes to help you stay more eco-conscious. We can also offer you digital designs, which you can use on your wedding website.
